Alternative medicine can be defined as a practice of healing that does not fall within the realm of consistent Western medicine. Examples include but are certainly not limited to homeopathy, biofeedback, acupuncture, herbal supplements and so on.

While alternative health medicine> has endured much disdain from those practicing traditional Western medicine, these days more attention is being paid and more respect is being given to complementary alternative medicine, commonly abbreviated as CAM.
