Performing landscape architecture design is a lot more than deciding where plants and flowers should be placed. An architect of this type analyzes the area to determine the best landscaping for both the environment and the needs of the client. If you would like to become a landscape architect design professional, you can start as early as high school by taking math, art and drafting (which may be offered at your local vocational center.) From there, you will need to pursue a Bachelor's degree as a minimum to get employment as a landscape architect. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this profession is growing faster than average making it a good career choice if the type of work appeals to you.
