Using a redirect for your links has a whole load of benefit’s from stopping those unscrupulous marketers stealing your links to ensuring that your prospects don’t leave off your affiliate ID so you protect your commissions so they get paid to you and not the merchant.
Just a quickie post to add to your affiliate marketing training, I remember for the first 5 months of my affiliate marketing I always thought that ‘my links look ugly’ however the answers that I got from searching on google to find a solution mostly included solutions link tinyurl.com and other short coding sites, which to be honest I still think looks ugly and you do lose the advantage of a strong keyword hyper-link in your blog or website. There are paid versions of cloaking your links but until your raking in the cash I suggest you try the free and simple ways.
Now I have posted about cloaking your affiliate links before BUT you may find this code a little simpler to use – Here it is OK so how-to?
1. Well the code grab from here copy and paste into note pad or other text editor.
2. Change the http://your-URL-here to your destination url
3. Save the note pad file as a html ie (scoobie.html) If recommending scoobie snax!
4. upload the scoobie.html file to your website. Some folks use a /go or /recommends directory.
5. That’s it Just go to http://yoursite.com/scoobie.html and you’ll find your redirection working fine :)
